I am a poet. I enjoy hiking, beautiful scenery, reading, writing and listening to music, photography and other forms of two dimensional art, ie. painting and drawing. I have a morbid curiousity of the paranormal and I get a kick out of listening to podcasts such as The Paracast, Black Vault Radio and Eerie Radio, not to mention Coast to Coast. Aside from listening to paranormal stuff, I enjoy learning about the latest tech news and trouble shooting computers. I am intrigued by astronomy and I love learning about spirituality. I manage my own group/community called Evolving Consciousness and New Thought, a private community, dedicated to exploration through discussion and exchange of ideas and information related to areas of thought, philosophy, spirituality, creativity, and scientific advancement that impact and alter human consciousness for the better.

Guess

My name is uttered a billion times a day,
I am impulsive and I leave no one unscathed.
I am the one who can make your life complete
Or can quickly ravage it beyond repair.
I strike without warning stealthily and swiftly and sure.
Or take my time, let my victims languish slowly.
I'm often kind and sweet, so pure an emotion,
Or cruel, an obsession, cold and obscene and depraved.
I target any and all, to me it’s the same.
I'm mercurial in my existence, inconstant as the sea.
I've been the cause of wars, of murders and death.
I'm also the cause of much gladness and happiness fair.
I can make fools out of kings and bring shame to the righteous,
I have no mercy, no discretion for any of my deeds,
For to me it's a game, a capricious whim to enjoy.
Beware! I will deprive you of your nightly sleep,
Or provide you with comfort and contentment beyond measure.
The rose is my symbol replete with the sharpest of thorns,
Oh what am I called? What is my name? 'T is obvious-
My name is "Love", and I'll haunt you till the end of your days.
