My Conscious Art:

I am an author and poet who resides in Connecticut with my husband, two daughters, two cats, two frogs, and several tropical fish and plants. I am in love with life and show it through my plain-talk writing style.

I started writing poetry at the age of 9 and became published in a local paper in 1982. Since then, I have written two books of poetry, two self-help books on the syndrome Fibromyalgia, and a book of humor that pokes some fun at the relationship of mothers and daughters in the early years.

I plan to release another self-help book on Fibromyalgia and pregnancy some time this year or next and I'm also trying to write a romance novel.

Random Acts, Great Books, Great Price!

How many authors do you know that would enter a contest for book exposure? I know that I've known a few. The idea is a great one because it gives the author a chance to get discovered by readers and publishers that may not have ever seen their work otherwise. Some people like the money and prizes that contests offer, and that's all good too.
